cash rules everything around me
for about 9 months, the people who have had the *sarcasm* luxury to be chauffeured in my elegant vehicle *sarcasm* have noticed extreme engine noise and the scent of gasoline inside the car. a couple of days ago, i found out why. it appears that a GAPING hole in my drop pipe was the culprit. i thought my car was just dying.
it seems that in one of my summer adventures, i had hit debris (because speedbumps can’t do that kid of damage) on the hwy or toronto’s crap hazard roads. and since then, my gas milage sucked major ass. i was filling up twice as much. i had to gas up 2 times when i went to waterloo which didn’t make sense to me since the car can make it to oakville and back on half a tank. my torque and acceleration took a big hit too. you may not have noticed, but i had to floor it to make it move.

not my car. but you get idea.
fast forward to today. i take the car to a muffler/exhaust specialist and i see why i’ve been having car woes. let’s just say, gaping hole is an understatement. my pipe was basically cut in half. two hours and $300 later, my car is as good as new. seriously. it’s a quiet and smooth ride once again. now i have to climb out of debt once again. the struggle never ends!
sun is shining
while i waited, i ventured into sun shine records on the recommendation of charles. there i saw my next purchases. turntable and mixer coffins. at only $150 a piece, those are steals compared to what people on kijiji and ebay are asking for. and i have enough time from now and the wedding to save up. the dude working there was nice and put up with the barrage of questions i had for him. he’s also a buddy of charles, so i hope that equals discount if i do decide to purchase.
or maybe i should just switch to cdj’s.
